Hawaii for me, especially Kauai out of all the islands I visited.
Tokyo comes a very close second.

Went to Mexico in 2009, really enjoyed it, great place. Could easily go back.
Stayed in Playa Car, about an hour from Cancun. Went to Cancun one day for a trip, to be honest we were glad we weren’t staying there - too built up - too much 18/30 holiday type stuff there really (and we aint that old was in our late 20's at the time).
Now thinking about saving up and go to Australia next year but never been and as yet have no idea which areas to go.

Barbados.
White beaches, crystal clear see-through sea, showing aquatic creatures peacefully swimming in it......... Tracy the hairbraider moidering to f**k to get your hair braided until you give in .......... laid back Bob Marley comes 2 hours later than expected with his taxi to take you to the restaurant. By that time, you are fainting with hunger ........... tamarind or freshly presssed green apple juice, huge fattening Ameriacan meal or yummy lobster for dinner.......... lime and bright organge cars on the roads with Fiddy Cents and Neeyos in them................... WOW! Just beautiful!

You fly normal plane between the islands, about 30 min flight.
The heli trips were taken on Kauai (the Garden isle- Jurassic park was filmed there) and Big Island for the volcano.
I've got an absolute desire to go back to Kauai, but you can keep Honolulu.

It has to be Cuba for me
Fantastic beaches and weather for relaxing however a very interesting history and it's fascinating to visit Havana which is stuck in a time warp since the trade embargo (no idea how to spell that!) with the US that has been in force since the 50s. It's great to see the 1950s american cars still running and the Cuban people are increadably friendly so it's great, though a little sad to see how grateful they are for any tips/toiletries or clothes you leave for them.
You are certainly left with a lasting impression after seeing how the Cuban people live in a communist state.
I would recommend Cuba to anyone who loves their beach holidays but is interested in learning about a completely different way of life

Australia and Sri Lanka are my faves
Best beaches in the world in Oz, by a distance, unless you're in QLD at the moment, poor b@stards are getting it again
