Got home from Sainsburys after work and some little ****** has thrown a rock at the window in the side door at my house. It shattered one pane of the double glazed glass.
What is the fekkin problem with these people ? I am fekkin livid. Especially as it cost 100 quid for the glazier to sort it out tonight and will cost 180 quid for a replacement laminated unit so it wont break so easily if someone tries it again.
It makes me mad.

Dave,
I don't want to worry you unnecessarily, but be on your toes for the next few days!!
It is not unknown for low-lifes to break a window during the day, and then sneak back at night a few days later and peel back the still soft putty. Thus the pane can be removed without making a sound

Feel for u mate.
As boomer said, be extra careful the next day or so.
Also don't fit too tough glass. There was a case a few years back where a deliquent kid threw a brick at a toughned glass window. The window did'nt break, but threw the brick back the kid. It hit him on the head and gave him concussion. After this the kid and his parents successfully managed to sue the owner of the house for damge and get them done for actual bodily harm

Was thinking about fitting a camera to the window on the 1st floor above where it was done. Then rigging it to PC and filling up my 60gb of footage in case someone comes back for more.
I will be waiting with a big lump of wood

There's a lot of software out there that will create a zone within the shot of your PC's cam and take a picture when there's movement within that zone, it will then upload the image to an FTP server. Works pretty well. I use this one http://www.coffeecup.com/webcam/
