I spotted on of those technica blu-ray players in tesco for £50 yesterday. Doubt they'll be the greatest but should do the job.

How cheap mate ? Just bought a Panasonic 3DTV and it came with a free Panasonic Blu Ray player. It is of no use to me as I have a PS3 so I am planning on putting it on e-bay. Brand new, box never even opened.

Surely the Blu-ray player is a 3d one though so won't you want it

Is it this model?

The PS3 with the latest update does all of the 3D too ! So I kind of have this as a spare ! Shame because it is a decent freebie ( it is the model you listed ).

Blockbusters are doing a LG one that has got good reviews for £89 and that includes Toy Story 3 and Robin Hood blu ray discs.

James: if we accept that £50 is the baseline, then Id suggest Richer Sounds. They have decent kit from £69 and I can recommend the shop here in Sheffield (whilst Nottingham is full of *****...).

I strongly urge you to keep the free panasonic player for blu-ray over the PS3 as it will be a seriously better blu-ray player. Infact the PS3 is a pretty poor blu-ray player in my opinion.
