I currently have my i phone 4 sync with i tunes is it possible I could add another I phone 3gs to itunes but keep them different.

The iphone 3gs was sync to a netbook but it was a pain to upload music.

Any ideas

Yes, but it's a PITA sometimes.

When it comes to updates for app's, you need to sign in to either account that downloaded the app initially.

yes and you get the apps free on the other phone .
so whatever you have bought on one you wil get them on the other phone for freeeeeeeeee

I have 3 ipod touch's setup on my itunes, if I download something it can go on any ipod connected to my account.

You can choose each ipod/phone to have different apps and music on. Just copy the playlist you want for each phone/ipod and delete apps as needed. Each one works seperately but they can all use what ever is on the main account

The music i download on my 3g using my daughters password is completely seperate from anything she downloads onto her 4g using the same password.

We have two 3gs' running from one account. They are both running a jailbreak, so sync problems are not an issue
