Default Samsung galaxy S owners

Just bought one of these after my Blackberry packed up. Liking it so far. Can anybody help with the following?

1) How to adjust settings to save as much battery as possible? ie in case i'm out for a long time away from a power source?

2) I've set up one email acct onto it. Is it possible to have a second email acct on it, if so how?

Thanks

To get the best battery life from it
is to use it as a phone and nothing else.... best to date for me 8 days 10hrs

settings are as follows

Network - Gprs
Disable all automatic sending of data, updates syncs etc

screen

Time out 30 secs, and set a fixed brightness

email accounts, just go to settings and add email accounts...

you can have as many as you want if i recall

i will check all my settings later... the phone is downstairs at the mo

Thanks.

I've gone to settings and emails function but still can't find how to add a second email acct. Anybody tell me the steps please?

I've got wifi and blue tooth off. What do you mean by turning widgets off?

Thanks

Thanks guys.

One more question.

I tried to open up an attachment on a email today (probably word) and i keep getting a message that says..... 'Think free office, please insert SD memory card' and the attachment won't open.

Do I need to insert a SD card to open attachments and should one have come with the phone?

Thanks again

Not sure on this one... it may be it saves the item to external SD

there only a few quid for a 4gb card
