We've got freezing fog now too, 0930 and still -14.
Had -16 for the past two days now early morning, heating packed in at the fuel farm where I work 3 days ago, not good.

It was -10 in Pontefract yesterday morning - think it was lower but not sure how accurate my jeeps temp gauge is. Was up there visiting the wifes folks. Took the jeep up just in case and there wasn't any snow on the way but surprising how much was still there on untreated roads.
Was between -4 and -7 all the way home yesterday on the motorway but think it was colder in parts. Seemed to spend 6 hours driving in fog soup.

Yeah you can tell there's no snow in London. It would take up 90% of the news if there was.
'And this morning, news that chaos has been brought to the UK with literally centimetres of snow bringing London to a standstill. Bankers unable to get to their paper shuffling duties, politicians unable to create equality... it's just an unimaginable nightmare Mary.'
'Thanks Tim. Elsewhere, ten feet of snow reported in some places. Now I'll hand you over to Jim for the sport.'

You can keep your 3 by 3 shed that cost 500,000 for me, I'd rather live in Poland, congestion charges, **** holes everywhere that think they are better than the next person, we have scum up here but you have wannabe gangsters everywhere, a very expensive **** hole.

I did my last ever landing where you work, used to be RAF Finningley then. Do they still do the Battle of Britain air day there.

I come from near London and I have managed to avoid going anywhere near it for quite a long time now thank goodness. Last place I would want to live near any more!

It's changed alot since it was RAF finningley, most of the old buildings have gone, mainly just the hangers remain.
Worked here since the airport opened in 2005, we had a lad work with us for a while called Andy Watson, think that's the right surname, he used to work in fuels for the RAF here.

-7 in Cheshire this morning.
Not that remarkable I suppose but I only remember seeing it that cold once before the start of 2010, about in about 1998 and I was gobsmacked during a journey to see the temp drop that far, this year it seems routing, global cooling you see. I never thought I would see the -15 we saw in January and the minus twenty odds we are seeing are a bit out of the ordinary as well, I bet the Scottish are actually thinking of putting a coat on now, that layer of ginger downy fur only protects so far

-5 (-14 with windchill) here. No snow, but downtown Toronto has snow. Not that I mind, saves me having to clear the driveway in the morning.
Pretty normal temps for the time of year, and it's a dry cold, so much nicer than the UK's damp cold. Looks like you've got our snow again!

Yes it would have to change a lot of course. I think that the runway is reckoned to be the strongest one in the country. Would have taken a lot of digging up anyway. It was also the first place I flew the Vulcan from and where I did my last Vulcan display too. Strange it is where I did my last landing too in a Dominie.

We had the largest (flying) aircraft in the world land here not long back, think it was an AN226 or 4, the antinov that carried the space shuttle on it's back, very impressive aircraft, needed most of the runway to get off the ground.
Be nice to see a Vulcan land back here at some point.
