Default Today i ...........

Started building an Igloo

Never done it before, so as we had a good coverage last night, i thought id

give it a go ....

Onto the 4 the layer now ....And my back aches lol

Hopefully more snow tonight to top up the supply

I reckon another 2- 3layers and it will be done (hopefully).....

Debating to have a barbie inside to prove its a proper igloo

We've arguably got too much now!! If it freezes I'll be able to build a proper igloo this weekend where you saw sheets of snow rather than packing it into a box sandcastle style.

It did look like epic quantities, slightly jealous but I know its easy to get pissed off with it, we had six or seven inches earlier in the year and it hung around, was sick of the sight of it but kind of hated seeing it going, nothing more exciting than fresh snow or depressing and sad than melting snow, once its all gone its ok but I think it goes back to childhood wishing it wouldnt go even when your adult self is sick to the **** of it

Today I, got the weather ticker working on our website, the developers had neglected to deploy their evil wares to both nodes of the database cluster and wonder why when I failed it over it didnt work any more ! wish they would tell me when they deploy stuff, really they shouldnt be allowed in but they have to be in case I am off.

I know exactly what you mean J4cko. The mondeo is still stuck in the driveway and will probably remain so for a few days. We have to walk anywhere and we live in a commuter town! By the same token, I'll be sad to see it go as we have epic piles as high as 6 feet stacked up all around the estate. I'm sort of sick and want to see more - I want to tell my grandchildren about the winter of 2010

And 2011, 2012, 2013...

I have a feeling we may be seeing a shift to colder winters for a while, might be a blip, might be for the rest of our lifetimes and beyond, only time will tell.

Just been out to survey the gloo .. the snow composition has

changed...whereas yesterday it took approximately 2 tubs to compact, its

now 3-4 tubs

And the sun is now out.. might not get much further

We have a 4 layer mini igloo in the back garden. Probably needs 2 more layers to roof it as we only have a long thin garden. That and the Mrs is 26 weeks gone and I refused her permission to watch me

Right some piccys from the next day

Sadly the last, as it rained later and washed the whole lot away

lessons for next time....

Start earlier...dont stop in the evening

Make it slightly smaller

Make sure the camera is clean, and use your own instead of the wifes

Pity about the rain spoiling it all.
