Snow day !!!
Like an over excited child.... I'm having a snow day and so is my mr.
About another 8" fell over night in the village and he got half way out in the wagon, saw the roads turned round and came home.
Sledging and snowman building ensues.
Has anyone else had lightening with their snow though? It's rather weird.

Never heard thunder as loud as that last night, it set car alarms off in my friends street.
There was rumours flying about late last night that it was a explosion and not thunder, petrol station exploded. But seems like it was BS.

I would normally agree with that, I have a good view across Sunderland from where I am, but last night I couldnt see the house across the road with snow coming down.
Just seen it on BBC news about it, said it could be heard from Northumberland to Norfolk.
Their calling it thunder snow on twitter, quite common in Canada apparently.

I could see all the way to Penshaw, Nissan and Newcastle yesterday... havent even been to check to see what I can see this morning.
We're just arguing about who goes to the co-op for bacon for breakfast.

I'm between Durham and Chester and it's looking pretty grim, it has stopped for the time being, but grim nonetheless.
On where?

They reckon we'll get 4-6" here in West Cornwall even. Can't remember ever having snow (maybe the odd shower) in November down here. There is so much global warming on the gtround it's ridiculous!
Most of the schools are closed so lots of snowmen being built I reckon.

Oh, and we had some tremendous thunder this morning as well. Thought a bomb had gone off. What was that all about? Absolutely nowt on the weather forecast last night about snow or thunder and lightening. Shows how brilliant all their supposed weather forecasters are!

Im in Leeds this week, half an inch or so in the town centre, as I discovered at 3 am this morning when the fire alarm went off, stood outside the hotel freezing my bollocks off in the middle of the night whilst the Fire Brigade went looking for a non existent fire.
Want some at home, there was a dusting in Wilmslow, litterally so, but its still there, apparently snowing again, we have the Pennines spoiling the fun !
