It was not a wasted weekend

Alien Resurrection was definitely better for the special edition.

Watched Alien this weekend. Just seems so much brighter and real in HD. It just doesn't seem to age.

I bought the Alien and Predator Bluray boxsets. I have to go against the tide with Pred 3 and say that I actually liked it.

Is this different to the previous DVD box set?

*Spoiler*

Theres one bit that has been taken out of every version I've seen except when I watched it at the cinema. When they take the alien out of ripley, as the cord is broken, she wakes up and grabs one of the doctors arms and snaps it up.

My cats are called Ripley & Bishop

Alien 3 is very underrated. The Quadrilogy has the Assembly Cut version which is better than the theatrical cut release

Alien resurrection is too good though.

I haven't watched it but on the accompanying discs in the set theres a documentary on the making of A3. It sounds like a giant bun fight from start to finish.

I had actually seen the uncut version about a year before it came out. A local company worked on both Aliens and Alien 3 and I think the story was that my mates sister was seeing one of the lads who worked on A3 and he gave my friend A version before they chopped the hell out of it.

I scan read that and saw "I call my moth..." and expected the rest to say "er-in-law".

I could see that. A day and a half watching her dig her own grave, naked, then a few hours to kill her and fill in the hole.
