Default How much should i pay to have a patio laid

How much roughly if i provided the slabs would it cost to have a 10m2 dug out and paved. The slabs will be 600x600.

I think my builder might be trying to get one over me. I need to double check with him but i think he wants between £350-£500

Thanks

Quite a bit of time and effort involved if done properly. The quote doesn't sound that bad if it includes the hardcore, sand, cement, etc.?

doesn't it depend on how many bodies you need concealing?

Check the cost include skip(s) hire to take away the spoil + all other materials such as sand and cement - it looks cheap to me.

If it includes materials, it sounds a bit on the low side to me.

Sounds like a good price to me. £100 for materials and £200 a piece if there are two of them @£500, shouldn't take more than half a day. £350 and you've got a deal would be my advice to you

Sounds about right to me for a fairly small job like that.

Most general ground workers I know charge £250 - £300 for a days work.

Depends on whether the fella is going to just rake over the ground and throw some sand down, or lay a proper hard core base, compact down then dry sand cement mix, brush kiln dried sand into gaps?

First option - expensive
Second option - cheap if done properly.

Get a few more quotes

Mine is a similar size..

It cost £600 around 3 years ago..

Depends on materials,i had ours done in Indian stone so it was a little more expensive.

If you give a few more details,a more accurate estimate could be given.
