Depends on where you live or if it would even work, as usually you have to install dongle software to your laptop. The signal would not be good enough IMO and I think you'd quickly lose patience with it, I will never use a dongle again if I can help it.

IF, and that's a big I, your dongle can provide you with a decent speed, then just connect your xbox to the laptop with an ethernet cable, go to network connections in control panel, find your connected dongle and right click. Open properties and find the ICS (internet connection sharing) tick box and tick it.

Should work IIRC!!

XBL would be horrific with a dongle, I don't even like wifi for XBL, for online gaming it has to be an Ethernet cable to a decent speed internet connection all the way IMO

Ethernet? Is that what the connections are on my Router? It's a Netgear.

So I'd need two plugs and two ethernet cables?

I used my mi fi dongle for ***** and giggles on mw2 and the lag was horrific and i was constantly getting disconnected with the message "Client command overflow" Which means your internet suck *****

It seemed okay for turned based games though such as worm etc.

If you just like noob tubing I guess you will be okay but playing the game properly will see you using most one on ones.

The ping on my land line is 31 ms, the ping on my mobile broadband is 350 ms.
