Default Royal Family & engagement - your view?

Looking at public feedback on news websites, twitter and facebook. It seems most views are polarised between

1) I'm a royalist and proud of it, they're a good bunch of people, work hard, do a lot for good causes in the UK and and very much looking forward to the wedding.

2) We should be a republic, no time for the monarchy, waste of tax payers money and having a royal family is a legacy we don't need.

With a few people in camp 3

3) Don't really care either way, but the amount of news coverage is annoying me already. All I want to know is if we get a day off and is Harry organising the Stag-Do.

So what are the views of Scoobynet?

Queen Kate? Do me a favour...HOW chavvy?

And once she's produced the heirs, she'd better watch out, esp if Chookie Emburgh is still living

Absolutely no interest whatsoever.

News must be a bit thin on the ground considering the whole of ITV news is about this marriage.

I say good luck to em. I'm not especially a royalist, but I'm not one of the sour grapes crew who are all bitter and twisted just because they weren't born to parents who weren't rich enough. All I know for sure is it cant be easy to be in your 20's and trying to get yourself a wife who:

A: you know will have to make a good queen someday,
B: can cope with having her every move scrutinised by the mass media,
C: Isn't on the take.

I have enough of a difficult time trying to find a girl who likes it up the wrong'un, so christ, it must be an impossible task.

By contrast, harry has it easy and he knows it. Probably the reason his bird is exactly the sort of thing a playboy prince wants I.E. Pneumatic
astraboy.
P.S. I would too.

Seem like a nice couple, not fussed either way but as with any young couple getting married, all the best to them.

William and Harry do seem to be decent chaps though, sense of fun there at least, I would liek to see granny retire and Harry take over myself.

I love a big royal doo ! During Diana's funeral I shredded the front tyres and burnt a tank of fuel in my Corrado, and for the Queen Mom's funeral I did all four tyres and 3 tanks of fuel in the Scoob. No-one on the roads, and no coppers to be seen anywhere

Is the Corrado what you bought when the heat was on for you in the White Fiat Uno ?

I put the third option only because the second seemed a bit serious. To be honest I don't mind the idea of a royal family on the superficial level, it is tradition after all. But they shouldn't receive any money from the state IMO. They have enough of their own and we really shouldn't be funding people born into status. But no skin off my nose otherwise!

I couldn't give a monkeys... Although I do like having the Royal family and they do bring in an awful lot of cash into this country.

If its their decision, I wish them the best of luck.

I am thankfull to them for 1 thing, as this is probably going to be a state occasion, then its going to be an extra day off next year

I'd rather have a Royal family as the symbolic head of our constitution than a President which would be another elected, power hungry politician.

President Brown anyone?

Got to be good for the country, tourism and maintaining Blighty's media profile around the world. Royals do a lot of good for these isles really despite the fact they are a bunch of Krauts and Greeks.
