What do Chinese Takeaways do to Chicken ?
Just had a Chinese from the one round the corner, not the best Chinese in the world but it seems common to Chinese Takeaways and to a lesser extent Restaurants, i.e. the Chicken does not resemble Chicken in taste or texture, it was like eating silicone rubber chunks, knocked me sick really, when I get an Indian meal it is recognisably Chicken pieces in sauce, what do they do to it at Chinese places to ake it that disgusting, going to tell her next time I am in, it was vile !
PS, nobody needs to do the "This Chicken taste Rubbery" joke or suggest its Cat/Dog/Rat etc

What you eating chinken at a Chinese for anyway?
Get some nice crispy duck, stuffed crab claws or pork yuk sung. Mmmmm
Having said that, the salted chilli-chicken wings from our local Cantonese are lovely, tender perfectly cooked and make my lips go numb .
And therein lies the issue Cantonese vs Chinese.....go find a better restaurant/takeaway

Ali, generally we dont use it except for chips, its just that its near and I am feeling a bit rough as it was my 40th party last night so it was just a quick and easy option.
That said, most of them are pretty similar though the one in the middle of Wilmslow is better, called Flame and Wok where they cook it in front of you, pretty pricey though and they dotn do chips and stuff.

Finding a good one is a royal pain the ****. Because if its anything like where I live, most are crap.
I swear the veg and sauces at alot round by me are just preprepared microwaved shyte, and tehy just cook the meat and rice fresh (would explain the plastic tubs they come in).
Whilst I found a good Chinese, my local Indian (sorry, Bangladeshi) appears to have changed chefs and its gone down the pan, which means hunting round to find another good one.

It comes in a tin already cooked, so they throw it in a stirfry already shaped up. If you dont like it go somewhere else, then hopefully these cheapskates will go out of business. MMMMM mystery meat

Chinese food does not normally contain masses of meat, it's lots of vegetables, egg etc.
The stuff you get in takeaways is like a westernized version.
I've worked on Chinese rigs you see and normally eat their food. It's generally pretty healthy and tastes good.
