another Iphone thread
I have had the 4.1 upgrade for quite some time, I have always charged my Iphone every evening as I use it throughout the day, but a few days ago the battery was on 15% by midday, so I put it on charge, when I left work it was on 44%, I travelled home, a hour journey and I never touched the phone, but it was on 18%, I fully charged it that night, I went to bed at midnight with 100% and woke up at 5am with a dead phone, the next day it lasted all day as usual, then drained through the night again !!!
I have been asked to restore the phone to factory settings, so I'm now doing this
Just wondered if anyone has had the same issues and did a factory reset sort the issue
I'm off to get the good old N95 out and blow the dust off that

Before you do a full reset try this..
Hold down the sleep button and home button simultaneously - ignore the slide to power off - until the iPhone shuts off and the Apple logo appears.
Might do the trick and save you some time.

You can have loads in the background, it doesn't mean they're all running, most will be hibernated. Go for a full restore, might take half an hour.

I've never known one that needs replacing, my old 3G is still going strong. Replacement is pretty simple and well documented here http://www.ifixit.com/Browse/iPhone batteries are £10 on eBay.

Need to shut down unused apps and switch off Bluetooth when not in use. Tip about the screen brightness helps as well.
