Julie Hilling (Lab, Bolton West) asked Mr Cameron the awkward question again: “Does he really think that the 500,000 public sector workers facing the axe will be pleased to know that he has hired his own personal vanity photographer?”

Mr Cameron once more avoided giving an answer.

What a shower of SH*T

There comes a point when every regime tips over into self-parody, but we had not imagined that moment would arrive so soon for Mr Cameron. Ed Miliband asked the Prime Minister: “Is it really a wise judgment when he is telling everyone to tighten their belts to put his own personal photographer on the payroll?”

is it his "personal" photographer or are the pictures going to belong to the state as in the US

two very different things -- The American president has had an official photographer for years (remember all the pics of Nixon and Kennedy in the oval office)

if it is for state/official use I don’t see a problem tbh

Agreed, although he was a little dumb to do it, especially as he knows people are just looking for an excuse to rubbish him. However, as the Prime Minister, it is necessary to have some pictures taken in his official capacity, so why should he pay for them?

Didn't your hero Gordon Brown pay £40,000 a year for an image consultant

Fat load of good that did.

Least 'Dave' will have something physical to show for £35k

Wink

They're all as bad as each other, and nothing surprises me anymore.

However, this does rank of crass stupidity.

I think what people are missing here is that their are plenty of PRESS PHOTOGRAPHERS who would be happy to take photos for free. What this gives Dodgy Dave is more control over his image.

Imagine, a state visit to No 10. Just as Dave shakes the hand of Mr Big Cheese, he vomits yesterdays Tikka all over his best brogues. Prior to this appointment, photos are flashed around the world, headlines are written, fortunes made and lost.

Now, it'll be " Not that one please Mr Photographer, give me a minute to clean up and we'll try again "

The world see's a cheesy shot of two glorious leaders grinning inanely, and a rumour that our PM was feeling unwell so retired to bed early shortly after the port.

Pete, I've come to the conclusion I like you better when your Mr. angry. Makes you far less of a transparent troll than the times you were saying everything is wonderful etc. to get a rise.

Angry Pete FTW

Just that I don't have any photo's to show you ......

This type of thing stinks to high heaven - he is telling everyone to cut back and he puts his personal photographer on the Civil list!!!!!!

OK, it's only £35,000 - but the whole thing is rotten to the core!!

Angry? Angry? I'll give you bloody ANGRY!!!!

I certainly agree, he cannot justify a photographer paid for by the State. No more than NL could justify the enormous number of "advisors" that we had to pay for.

Like you say it's only £35k, hardly worth shouting about. Unlike the Labour MP caught breaking electoral law and hopefully he'll face criminal charges. Thankfully the electorate saw sense by not putting these corrupt Labour MP's in power.
