Some where to go for our anniversary
It will be our 3rd anniversary at the end of November and I am trying to think of some where to go. I am looking for somewhere in the uk not Dublin as we have been and I dont' want to spend to much. I would like somewhere we can have a nice walk around maybe have a spa and then a fancy restuarant in the evening. I know it's tight but I have clubcard points I can put towards the hotel so it needs to be a main town or city.
I was thinking about Edinburgh but that means we need to fly and that will be £120 for both.
I would like to go to London but the price of the hotel would be the same as two nights somewere else but I suppose the flight money would pay for that.
Any ideas Bath ?
Thanks for the help

Excuse my ignorance, but where will you be travelling from?
I travel for work and they put me up in some pretty swish hotels so I might be able to point a few out
It's just been my 4th wedding anniversary and we went up to Edinburgh which was nice, absolutely AMAZING hotel and stone throw from the airport too

Nice to hear your shopping pattern at Tesco's is limiting an important event for you... just an observation.. that's all.

Bath is nice....
Dont think you will have a problem with finding a nice hotel and something good to eat there..
Edinburgh is Ok...stopped there a few times in the past. But was rather expensive for what it was last time i went..Stopped at Java.
What kinda place do you want ? Romantic and peaceful or full of pissed up ******* at the night ?

It's nice to get away for a few days. I think I am going to stay in either Bath or Bristol for 2 nights.
There is a restuarant near Bristol I would like to try and then for the other day I might book the spa package In Bath.
Has anyone been to the Natural baths?
Thanks for the help.

Take her to your local fish and chippy, she will appreciate that your not trying to be flash and wasting both your hard money.
Their is something romantic about eating fish and chips in the open air, if you really want to woo her then get her some scratchings and a plastic fork.

I agree, you don't need to break the bank to be thoughtful mate - Book a nice restaurant that neither of you have been to before, doesn't need to be miles away - just do some homework and make sure the food is good!

Check out http://www.captainsclubhotel.com/ . Hotel is lovely, nice area, brilliant food and spa. And not too far to travel from Kent either. Not cheap but I'm sure your Mrs is worth it

If you do decide on edinburgh, Norton House Hotel is amazing, 10 minutes from airport and 10 minutes from the shuttle bus / park and ride in to the city. The hotel also has a complimentary transfer (afaik) to and from the airport / park and ride.
The Handpicked Hotels chain have beautiful places and big wow factor for a not too expensive rate.
