Default Ventriloquists of the late 70s/early 80s

Just been thinking about Spit the Dog, Emu, Orvil etc and all those puppets from back in the day..

Can anyone remember the puppet bear with the big eyes which used to go cross-eyed? Its really bugging me, please help!

I nearly did.

This really was a good one.
If you watched 'Soap' in the '80s...

My uncle was a ventriloquist but he wasn't very good.

As a kid at Christmas he'd sit me on his lap, push 2 fingers up my **** and tell me not to say a word.

Nookie Bear! That's it thanks mate.

What made me think of him was the asian girl on The Apprentice with the huge eyes.

I was in Margate on holiday in the 70s with a big family group, when Roger de Courcey walked past - my uncle saw him and said "where's Nookie?" to which he replied "F*ck off!". We all thought it was hilarious, especially us kids!

You did have to be there...
