Tea Bag preferences
OK, I do like my cup of tea. Nothing fancy just a good old cuppa from a tea bag is good enough.
Have been using M & S tea bags for a long time but nearest Marks is a long way off. Tescos is closer.
So any suggestions? Just needs to have a decent tea "taste" (whatever that means) and not just coloured mouse pee.
Cheers, David

Twinings Afternoon tea or Assam.
But I'm going to have to dump them now they're shipping the business to China and Poland, and getting the present staff to train the Poles who will be replacing them. Bloody disgraceful!

Anything but PG Tips which has strength and bitterness but no taste. Tetley a bit better. All the own brand Gold tea bags seem good though I am currently enjoying Asda's organic brand which is flavoursome and and a good colour with a splash of milk don't cha know.

Seeing that I've stopped having milk in my tea, I've been a alot more fussy about what I have.. Most brands taste rank without milk, or are far too strong.
Typhoo if done weak or in a pot, is acceptable. But I prefer Liptons yellow label.
Alternatively Twinings Camomile or Earl Grey (althouth the latter is a bit bitter).
Redbush with vanilla is another.

Builders tea is pretty nice, a good tea tase without being too harsh.
I drink Tetley myself, but my mum uses Glenghety (sp?) and that is rather nice too.

Forget Teley's and the likes as they are very average.
Twining's Earl Grey or Darjeeling are good teas, but let's drop the whole bag thing. Leaf tea made in a proper pot is the order of the day. Leave it to infuse for 5 minutes and no mad stiring of the pot.
Now if you can get some Earl Grey or Assam from Betty's in Harrogate/York... proper tea

I'm not really into coffee usually.
My friend made me an espresso in Sunday, he told me him and his mate have one before they train.
I realised at about 11pm why I don't 'DO' caffeine!

Surely it depends on the type of water you have in your house. When I lived in Edinburgh I used to prefer Tetley but when I moved to the country with our own spring water, Tetley tea tasted horrible. I eventually found that the Co-op Fair Trade teabags were the only ones that made a decent cup of tea with our water after trying just about every brand I could.
