Breastfeeding in public.
Basically I am wondering what men really think.
The 'mums' on a parenting website are discussing the feelings about this, specifically non parents and more so men are the most touched upon subject.
Does it make you men feel uncomfortable? Do you feel it is not appropriate when you are eating a meal to have someone breastfeedng at the next table.
Maybe you just couldn't care less, or just understand it's part of nature?

There is no issue if breastfeeding is done in private anyway so why not do so
Certainly not at the table next to me in a restaurant / pub etc. though I actively avoid those types of places anyway, mostly because they are usually sh*te, Harvester anyone

My wife won't be doing it in public, personally makes me feel uncomfortable as you don't know where to look without being called a perv
We went to take my nephew to a play group thing and we was talking to a women then a over a sudden ***** her tit out and starts feeding her new born. Made it near enough impossible to talk to.

Mrs Martin2005 is a breast feeding counsellor and NCT teacher. So I have to be really 'right-on' about this.
Mind you some attitudes towards this are from the stone age, and you'd be amazed at the number of women opposed to feeding in public

i think the issue is that breast are a thing of sexuality, not of lunch (if that makes sence lol) in todays society. so getting them out in public is a bit of peep show kinda thing.
personaly if thast what mums want to do then thast their choice

Its is quite possible to feed a baby without waving the nips in someone's face. Provided it is done right, there is and should be no issue from anyone. If you don't know where to look or get uncomfortable you probably are a perv!

Couldn't care personally.
However, if I was in a decent restaurant and the lady next to me had A) the audacity to bring young children to a decent restaurant and B) the sheer brassed neck attitude to whip out a booby to feed and therefore quieten the young child then I might feel a litttle agrieved.

Going for a pee is 'natural' too but I wouldn't want someone doing that next to me in a restaurant.

It is barely even noticeable when a mother is breast feeding, you can't see anything. There is nothing remotely erotic about it unless you are a bit odd. It does surprise me that some young people (teens and twenties ) in the 21st century find breast feeding awkward or unacceptable in public.

Totally fine with it, saw a woman doing it in the cafeteria of the Imperial War Museum the other day.
Ive only ever seen public breast feeding twice but both times the woman was very discreet, none of this '**** a tit out' as described above.
100% totally natural thing to do and women should be applauded for doing so, nothing pervy at all.

My wife dont agree with public breastfeeding it makes her uncomfortable so
Is she a perv? She'll be breastfeeding our child in private or bottling depends where we'll be going that day.

yep all depends on how its done, my wife comes from the far east and everyone breast feeds there and they do it there with out any one even noticing, its only a problem when the "mother" wants to make a big song and dance about it because its "part of there human rights".
The same mothers will also seen pushing a double pram "because its there right" crashing in to things in shops and pushing people off pavements!

My wife would always chose a table in the corner of a restaurant...so she could breast feed facing the wall... thus away from people's view
On the rare occasions she could not position herself like that... I was asked not to suck on them....

Seriously though I was recently in Debenhams with the wife doing some shopping and there was a pretty ugly chavvy looking woman sat on a display in the shoe department breastfeeding, and she wasn't making any attempt to hide the tit, my main issue is that there was a baby changing room on the next floor up which would have clearly been ideal for the purpose, she was clearly doing it for the attention, thats what I dislike.

How does it make you a perv because you feel uncomfortable? I'm sorry bit you're talking out your **** with sweeping statements like that.
My wife dont agree with public breastfeeding it makes her uncomfortable so

My mrs did it if needed which was rare but we took a shawl with us. Not one person saw a thing, not even me and I was allowed to look.
Doing it right is different to simply doing it.

Personally most women do it and you can't even tell if they are just cuddling their baby or actually feeding. With the right clothing there is no 'tit wanging'.
Have just been through a couple of years of having breast fed kids it really should not be an issue. I would personally have to question the neuroses of those who seem to find feeding a baby such an issue.
I am sure they are the same people who will happily pick up the Sun and the Sport and not find any personal difficulty in checking out the page 3 model (OK in the Sport the Page 2 through 17, the centrefold and pages 31 to 43)!
As for people commenting on it's relationship with sexuality - please go and see a psychiatrist!

You mean you think a normal place to eat your dinner is in a toilet?
