There must be a lot of parts that have been replaced such as instruments etc that are no longer serviceable or of use - i would have thought money could have easily been raised by auctioning off some of this.

Can any of you plane bods offer some information please?
A Vulcan flew over Northamptonshire around the area of Sywell airport, including the village I live in, last Wednesday (13t Oct).
Not a great picture I'll admit, but I was in a right flap trying to find my camera and it was totally unexpected as you might appreciate. It's the first time I have seen one this close and it was truly an awesome experience.
Without knowing the source of the information, I have since heard from a friend that this was the last flight of a Vulcan in the UK.
Can any of you gents shed any light on this, or let me know the purpose of the overfly?

There is only one airworthy Vulcan left in the world and that is of course 558.
It is a real worry that they have run out of money and as was said you may have seen its last ever flight.
