Anyone been to Valencia?
Looks like I'm going at the end of next month first holiday in 14 years woooohooo!!!
On a more serious note, whats the countryside like? Not entirely sure exactly where abouts in that reigon yet, as I can see on multimap that its mountainous the further south you go.

Used to go out there every 2 weeks on business
Valencia itself is massive, with a huge centre, check out the planeterium
lots of car launches from here museum & opera house
I used to stay at the Valencia palace, opposite the planetarium .. pricey
€100 per night B&B but got a business rate discount
The hotel Sidi Saler is nice, witrh some fantastic
beaches in front. Again pricey, but business rates helped
I used to be out to almusaffes for work
if your driving, take care its a crazy place

Cheers Mart, but we're not staying in the city itself, we will be somewhere outside. A friend's friend owns a house out there and building an other and thats where we're staying.
Trying to find out what the countryside is like so I can match my camo to the area (we're going out to do a specific job). Obviously here in the UK all is fine, but I don't know if its high dry plains with brush or green and lush.

My sister in law lives just outside of Alzira, and we stayed in a villa nearby.
Loads of great beaches like Gandia (Busy and more to see) and Tavernes (smaller, quieter and more of a locals beach)
Incredible castle to look at Calle Castillo de Xátiva, in the town of Xátiva.
We went to wildlife reserve outside of Valencia, La Albufera. Massive lake, with a wetland nature reserve and great beaches.
We did things in the city like L'oceanografic (the aquarium) and there is a museum nearby Museo de les Ciéncies Príncipe Felipe, which entertained the children but not sure it would have kept my attention (if it wasn't for the Marvel Comic showcase )
We were limited in what we could see or do as we were staying about 40 minutes outside of Valencia, as well as having a pregnant wife, two young children and an Icelandic ash cloud!!
Enjoy Valencia, we did!
