I was in court today (in a professional capacity) and I heard a guest of the court arguing with a court usher about whether the 'woman over there' (a muslim woman wearing full head dress hajib) would have to take it off when she appeared in court. The answer to her qustion was a very curt 'no' which came as no surprise at all.

The guest of the court then went on to ask that if she went away and then came back wearing an SAS style full head balaclava would she have to take that off. The answer was a very unsurprising 'yes.' The guest continued and stated that she may have to wear one for religious reasons and because she did not want anyone to see her face. Not a good enough reason apparently.

How nice it is that we are all on an equal footing with our super equal muslim friends

If you wore a balaclava, like the IRA/any other Provos do/did, then you're asking for trouble.

I mean, just because someone's wearing a hajib/burka/backpack etc doesn't mean they're terrorists or are going to blow you up... oh, hang on a minute... I see your point.

It could have been anyone under that stupid burkha, not the person actually on trial, so they shouold be made to remove it. END OF.
