Paris Motor Show
Its good to see austerity and eco-friendly popular at this years Paris Motor show
New performance cars from lots of manufacturers include Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborghini Nissan Skyline
But Im loving the new Audi Quattro, 400+ BHP and 0-60 in 3.5 secs
and the mental car of the show has to be Jaguars jet powered 900+ BHP super car (its a hybrid too )

The C-X75 showcases some pretty advanced technology - specifically a pair of micro gas-turbines behind the driver, that act as 140kw range-extenders for the battery powered motors.
Each weighing 35kgs, they produce 70kw of energy apiece at 80,000rpm, and are dependent on airflow sucked into the car via those deeply sculpted side vents.

Yes I see, thanks.
I understand the use of the gas turbines, but unless they are claiming that the turbine exhausts help to push the car along as well, then the car is hardly "jet powered".
Its a bit like saying that the use of the "F duct" causes the rear wing of an F1 car to stall on the straights when in fact it does precisely the opposite!

Lotus is the star of the show. They have been hiring some very important players in the car manufacture world.
The usual suspect sports car manufacturers will be having a few board meetings, with Lotus high on the agender. They should be worried.
If Lotus can pull off building those cars, looking just like the concepts, with good build quality, and good performance, they are on to a sure fire winner.
I will have an Elan.

If it's got 400 BHP and can do 0-60 in 3.5secs (therefore must be made of lightweight materials) and can seat 2 adults and 2 kids then £60k is a bargain. I'd have one.
The Lotus cars do look nice, but they look like Lambo, Aston Martin and GTR rip offs
