Default Anyone able to read building plans?

A friend has a small query on one measurement, if anyone can explain?

At the top of the room there is a measurement 10 / 217 / 30
What do the 10 and 30 mean, and is the total measurement 257?

If thats in cm's then that is one small room.

I would suggest the person who did the drawing knows little about doing plans.

Looks to me that the 30 refers to 300mm.

lol I had worked that much out.

Just wondered why it was broken into 3 measurements, and what the 10 and 30 represent?

I'd guess it would be to do with the stud wall, but it certainly isn't clear!

room width o/all

257 + 60 + say 80 ( estimate from plan scale ) = 397 cm, so nearly 4m. not really that small, especially if new build.

Cheers mate, thats what most think too. As long as she has the correct width of the room to order the furniture all will be well.

Thanks all for the input.

As long as we all agree the wall up to the door frame is 257, im sure that will be fine

Yeah they're the dims for the bathroom above. 30 = 300mm which is the 'kink' in the external wall. 217 = 2170mm which is the internal size of the bathroom then the 10 is the width of the stud wall (100mm).

those measurements although in cm do not seem to relate to anything actually shown on the sketch. the 30 would refer to the blck section of wall to show how wide that actual brickwork is @(assuming it is brickwork) but as there is also a gap between the lines up to the 'wall finish' there should be another measurement there.

600 would prob mean 150 to door edge, 450 to mid point of door, 900 is a standard door size. so seems to be logical in that sence

Yes it is, like I said. Give a builder something with 30 written on it, and he'll make it 30mm.
