Angry Blackpool Pleasure Beach. HOW MUCH?

£90 for the day for me, my wife and 2 kids - it would be £110 on the day!!

It is a few years since we were there and it was a dump. Has it improved to justify this ridiculous cost?

We wanted to show the kids the Illuminations and make a day of it but given the price, we might not bother and take them to Gullivers in Warrington instead.

Are you saying that they charge you that much to go on the beach for a day? Or is that what it would cost you for the entire visit?

Yes, a wrist band for the day.

It would be good value if you were riding white knuckle rides all day but most of time we will be on the kiddie rides.

We might look at Camelot near Preston and then have a drive through the lights at night.

Yes I understand what you mean now. Thats a real rip off I must say. I would prefer your alternative plan too. What a bunch of shysters they must be!

Cheaper than Alton Towers. Less queues. The Grand National. Lights are free, so factor that in as well.

Not appalling value, but agree the place generally is a dump.

Enjoy some fish and chips, and think you don't have to go back for a whole year

i went to alton towers recently as it worked out cheaper than blackpool and the longest que of the day was 40 mins. the myth about expensive prices and long ques does a good job of scaring the chavs off though. blackpool always seems to be full of ars*eholes.

camelot is probably the best theme park around the north west for kids and is quite cheap. if you collect tesco vouchers a £5 voucher = £20 at camelot

You need to see past the Kitsch.

Personally I don't mind it once in a while.

the attraction used to be that you could just pay for the rides you actually wanted to go on.
we were going to go, but I'm not paying that much. I'm from Yorkshire for god sake

Only went once - stayed a couple of days then on to Butlins in Rhyl for a few more days.

Longest week of the my life. Blackpool was everything I expected it to be (sh1te) and not thinking things could possibly get worse I was introduced to Butlins Rhyl.

First, only, and most definately last time.

They are actually spending a bit of money doing all the front up recently. Its looking much better.

Had a good day out there a few weeks back watching the Red Arrows.

Didn't go in the pleasure beach though
