Hopefully that little result will put Liebour into the political wilderness for many a year to come.

Could be fun with the Monster Raving Loonies as the 3rd political party after the Tories and Libs.

You're obviously too young to remember properly left wing politics

Ed Milliband is about as 'left wing' as Tony Blair, and way to the right of the Lib Dems

besides it's in no-ones interst to have the opposition 'in the political wilderness for years to come'

He looks like the boy that they make a prefect in a low grade private school, in the interests of social balance!

Another inane retort or no answer at all and we can all assume you are dumber than the people you seem happy to make so many ill informed comments about OK?

If only.
Being born in the '60s ensures I remember only too well hard left policies.

Kinnock looked well chuffed this morning.

UKIP perhaps but they need someone a 100 times better than Farage. I liked Pearson but perhaps he wasn't 'ard enough.

Racist I know but I don't think true British blood runs through Miliband's veins. And I suspect David M will retire hurt which will be a loss for the sad party.

If you were born in the 60's then why on earth do you proclaim EM as a 'left winger?

It's all relative of course.

The most important thing for him was winning the contest, he must know that appealing to the Labour Party is one thing, appealing to the country as whole, is something completely different.

Just ask the Tories they discovered the hard way that there is no future if you stray too far from the centre ground

He does have that 'special needs' feel about him.
That aside there is a positive in that there may now be a tangible difference between the parties, whether that benefits Labour in their ruling ambitions or not (probably not in my opinion).

It is far too early to make an assessment of his abilities and his own policies. You have to be fair and see what he is like after he has had a chance to lead his party.

Martin is quite right when he says that a weak opposition is no good to the country. That enables a ruling party to do more or less what it likes as happened last time, and we are likely to see extreme policies which do us no good at all.

I certainly think he will be a better leader than his brother as far as the people are concerned, the other one leans too far towards Blairism which is a big mistake.

'Go back tp your constituencies and prepare for government'...... still makes me laugh.
Labour need a few years in opposition to think up some fresh ideas on how to f*ck up the country (it seems they have used up all the ones they had).

They're fooked anyway. The coalition would have to go mega **** up to even give them a sniff of power any-time soon.

I'll make it easy for you as you are clearly struggling.

This picture of 'Red Ed' the son of raving British Marxist Ralph Milliband should tell you everything you need to know:

And of course, the Marxist Union Leaders who put him in charge are delighted too.
