Default Holiday Ideas £1500 Budget pp

Help me out lads I am looking to go away next May with a budget of £1500pp. We are lookng to go for 7-10 days and are open to any ideas.

We are looking for a good standard of hotel, we would like all inclusive.

Would go anywhere apart from Egypt as we have been there last couple of years.

Would also go on a cruise.

Any ideas?

I went to Mexico this year , not to Cancun but playa del Carmen about an hours drive from the airport , it was the best holiday I have ever had , 5* all inclusive for me and the Mrs was £2100 , and about £380 to upgrade the seats on the plane to first class , more legroom , comfier seats and all inclusive food and drinks , I would even go back next year , and I never go back to the same pace as like to try new places

100% agree, we stayed in Playcar which is in Playa Del Carmen. Best holiday I've ever had. Stayed in Cuba this year, beaches were better than Meico but I'd go back to Playacar at the drop of a hat!

I have been to Cancun twice and really enjoyed it and wanted to go back to Mexico so Playa da Carmen sounds like a good idea.

What is there to do any good trips is there a centre like Cancun.

Yes you can go into Playa car centre which was a 5 min taxi ride , plenty of restaurants , had the best steak ever in an Argentinian place , Sur , I think it was called , plenty of bars , clubs , beach bars with live music , its bonkers there , or for a quieter night stay in the hotel for the entertainment they put on , which was surprisingly goodish.

Quite a few trips to go on in the area , loads of watersports , if your a golfer like me , some top quality courses to play

I had a great time , even found some time to talk on here as I took my notebook , then p1ssed people off by mentioning I was going back to the golden beaches with all the bronzed partially clothed beauties to look at

Ihave been told by a few people that the Moon Palace in mexico is excellent. If I was going to spend £1500 each I would head to Trinidad and Tabago or maybe Shrilanka

I played golf at the moon palace , I joined up with a couple from Scotland who were staying there , it's a massive complex , they had a golf buggy to go to breakfast ect ! There's not much to do except what's on site , it was a beautiful place though , one of the best golf courses I have played.it was full of yanks here on conferences

Out of choice , I would stay where I did than here , much more to do.

No No No!!!!

Moon Palace is dangerous of recent years. A few people have been killed in the hotel recently including a woman back in April when I was in Cancun.

Moon Palace Murders

Canadian Woman on Life Support

Seems the hotel have covered up a few murders. I'd stay clear.

Cancun is great though. Have you thought about Jamaica? or maybe a Sandals resort in the Carribean?

How many people are going as it will make a big difference to where you can get to?

Me and the misses recently went to this place

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NujCKjMNXJU

The package was with Virgin holidays and we went for 14 nights.

We paid just over £4k for the 2 of us but that was for absolutely everything, plus we had upgraded our room and flight seats. Without the upgrades the price was close to what you are budgeting.

I couldn't recommend this place enough and will be going back again early next year.

If you do go to Jamaica, Runaway bay is in a nice location where if you felt the need to go out of an evening you could do so safely, its also close (20-40min drive/coach) to the main attractions Dunns River/9 mile/Dolphin cove etc.

Iberostar Rose Hall Grand in Montego Bay, its AI, right on the beach and only 12-18 months old.

The food is very good, no extra charges for anything i.e lobster etc no charge, good wine, top brand spirits etc. We took some money with us and we spent about $200 on tips and that was about it.

We went last year for a week and it was about £1500 each IIRC.

We went with First Choice. That price included private taxi, OF room and premium seats on the plane.

Dont get the IB RHG confused with either of the other 2 hotels on the site, there are 2 others, the IB Rose Hall and the IB Rose Hall Suites. They are not a good and the IB RHG has got some good reviews on Trip Advisor.

HTH.

What's the attaction with all inclusive?

So many places to go with 1500, but you're limiting your choice by going all inclusive.

....isn't it butlins for the slightly better off.

Where would I go? San Francisco and Yosemite

All inclusives actually put me off, its like comparing an all you can eat buffet with a nice restaurant.

check out any ofthe RIU Hotels (all inclustive 4*+) book through Tompsons etc.

we went to Portugal in May, great weather, fab hotel, brill food, cost just over £800pp for 10days.

no need to spend on anything else

I'd never done an AIC, but after going to these hotels I would do anything less now.
