I was just reading that..though am very confused...maybe its different for Tower Hamlets, as in Waltham Forest you can park in different permit zones. I know this because my dad does this all the time and the fact that the car is parked every days out side his house where permits are required. He does not have a permit!
I will write to them anyway see what happens.

It worked for me and that was because I made up some story about the pay and display machine not registering one of the coins I put in and me not noticing

Different councils can have different rules I am afraid. In some car parks disabled drivers park for free, in others they do not. On street parking is free in some cases for disabled, but again not for others.
Unfortunately its up to you to check, and the way it works in this country is that if they can fine you, they normally do
If you are a disabled badge holder you are better off parking on double or single yellow lines, just so long as you are careful how you park so as not to cause an obstruction. Ironically, in my experience, where I live, think of other caveats, we have had a lot less issue doing this that actually parking in parking spots.

I parked in a permit holders bay.....
Parking with a blue badge
Disabled parking bays are for blue badge holders and are provided at various locations throughout the borough, especially near hospitals, clinics and public buildings.
View these bays on our online map viewer.
Vehicles displaying blue badges can also park on:
•single or double yellow lines (provided there is not a signed prohibition on “Loading “in force) for up to 3 hours, clocks must be displayed.
•free of charge and without time limit where on-street Pay & Display parking facilities apply. e.g. in pay & display bays and shared use bays, signed (permit holders or pay at machine)
http://www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgsl/...ue_badges.aspx
i guess its debatable Permit and resident permit bay - i would think they are both the same?
Il write to them anyway...

Sam's loaded and could easily afford to pay the fine. After all, there is always a thread asking where to buy x, y or z.
Either that or a tight wad.

When I've seen resident signs I'm sure they normally have the disabled badge underneath.
You cocked up just pay the fine.
Gets on my nerves when disabled badge drivers think they can park in any place they want

I know it may sound mean but can someone explain why disabled badge holders get across toll bridges free or at a discount???
Also, why do people not use disabled toilets.I always do.My reasoning is that they are just a toilet & can be used by disabled people if they happen to turn up. 0therwise it's just a waste of a resource that cost way more than a standard toilet to install.
