Greatest live Dance/Electronica act
Ok I'll jump on the bandwagon on this one and have my own "greatest" thread since the old fogies are moaning about "Trance crap" again
So who would be your greatest dance or electronica live act? Could be from any generation or era. Being a youthful 26 I'd have to personally say Faithless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otLEU...eature=related or Orbital http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gd-Q...eature=related

Have to agree with Faithless. They are fanflippintastic. I do like Groove Armada too.
Infact, I like most music, except Country & Western. I can't stand that stuff
Considering Maxi Jazz is an old fogey too, born in 1957 he is in really good nick

Not very well known, but I'm a big fan of bath based hardcore collective, CLSM. You dont get better than a set of motivated individuals, who make good music, yet are determined not to take things too seriously.
Here's their campaign to get Hardcore on Radio one, entitled "john peel is not enough". Worked as well.

Here's my favourite of their songs, "see you on the other side"

and finally, their take on people jumping on the bandwagon and making cheap music for a quick buck

Oh I remember those guys. That "John Peel is not enough" video used to air a lot on the now internet only Rapture TV. "Even Fergie won't venture past 145 bpm"

Good find - I managed to get to a few Helter Skelter's in the late nineties I used to love hardcore and old skool it's not the same anymore. Been along to a couple of Innovation DNB events more recently highlights of which were Shy FX and Rat pack.

People have laughed at me for saying this but the best live dance act i've ever seen was Scooter! I **** you not, they were great and stole the limelight off PVD who was playing in the Tent beside them.

To the right crowd they would be very good as they have made lots of material over the years. Kinda lost their way in the past 8 years or so with many commercial rip offs but they do have a big fan base. I personally find them horrid except for maybe the early hardcore stuff.

I think they are jolly good but do agree that they have mutilated a fair few songs lately. Dance music has fairly lost its way though all this minimialistic progressive **** sounds like crap and makes you take drugs to make it any way interesting.
I need some Acid Rave in my life.

+1 for The Prodigy. 1993 Rote Fabrik in Zurich after sharing a 2 litre bottle of wine with my mate Rog. Mantronix in circa 1988 were wicked and Sunscreem were pretty good at the Brixton academy too. I think I'm showing my age here
