Angry Overpaid, overworked and overly knackered

Is it just me or do companies squeeze every last drop of life from people these days?

I've had a steady stream of people tripping into my office for a Jammy Dodger, coffee and moan... people seem to be switching on to the fact that money isn't everything and it's all about the quality of life rather than the wage/position.

When I think about it I work like a flaming machine, am always thinking about work (especially during sex) and am always taking work related calls day and night.... in fact I've just come to the conclusion that I'm fecking sick of flaming work.

My point.... there isn't anywhere for me to go and bitch, other than here, which also has a distinct lack of said jammy buscuits

I get the impression from what I see that you are right DCI. What with the monstrous salaries and bonuses we see the "nebbies" paying themselves, and that goes for politicians as well of course with their obscene expense claims, and the attitude towards those who do the actual work, it is beginning to take on the feeling of exploitation.

Working for yourself doesnt get any better either so dont think it is.
In fact apart from not having to worry about office politics, able to arrange your own holidays, it is just as bad.

Come and work with me and you'll soon know misery.

Money may not be everything by a long stretch, but if I got a good wage to put up with the **** that we get, I think that would help.

on my way to Reading this morning for a 9.00am meeting

up nice and early -- out the door at 6.30, quick petrol stop, 30 litres of unleaded

great except my car is diesel -- 3 miles down the road car conks out,

ahh that will be why the 1.17p a litre seemed cheap

ok phone/email someone -- mmmm my BB out of power, no problem, connect it to my charger -- hey it's in my laptop bag (which for the first time in 4 years I - on purpose - i left at home)

so a long 3 mile walk back to the petrol station to ring my wife (i'll prop take it out on her later and giver her a beating)

at least it was a nice sunny morning

i work for a large company and the ground troops get paid chuff all but do all the hard work , not only do i take calls in a sales office , i am now asked to chase customers i get on well with for money, plus also visit certain customers . so now i am doing 3 jobs in 1 . however area manager still swans around doing not a lot getting loads of money for doing sod all imho . take the last 2weeks on my own in office cos manager was on holiday . not a single phone call from area manager (are you ok and managing ) in fact we have just named him EDDIE SHOESTRING cos he runs our region on a shoe string budget. our top boss gets £485000.00 a year and for what i hope and pray for the day cameron brings in the 20times lowest paid person rule

no unfortunatly not

I have just taken off the pipe to the fuel filter and then hotwired the primary fuel pump

this has emptied the tank (I will use all the excess petrol in my other car and lawnmower)

i then ran through some diesel using the same method, and then filled with the correct fuel

I am just waiting whilst the battery charges a bit before I start it

That would have me completely flummoxed

After a year of ownership, I still get out the car muttering "diesel, diesel, diesel!!"

(my first diesel )

well it's not as bad as my first attempted oil/filter change on the car

drain oil

remove filter, replace filter

replace oil with 5 litre's of Mobil's finest

that's funny -- the dipstick reading looks a little odd (high reading)

repeat above

that's funny -- the dipstick reading looks a little odd (high reading)

funny, except that I had drained the "sealed for life" transmission fluid instead of the engine oil

that was a long weekend -- but turned out OK in the end

I work at a mental rate in these bad times and it really annoys me but what annoys me more is that most of the money is used to pay for stupid work on my car

Find a pretty young female employee get her into a little room/ cupboard and proceed to take her roughly (anally if you prefer).

It's the only way to cope with the pressures of work, you'll actually look forward to going to work in the morning.
You'll also work harder/be more productive because you'll want to get all your work done so that you can spare up a few minutes for her to gobble you underneath your desk at lunchtime

Work was well tiring for me today. Had to play volleyball, then penalty kicks and a pool tournament with a loads of teenagers. I can't think of anything better to be paid to do
