Default Shell Fuelsave Fuel

Evening All

Anyone else tried this?. Got it in my diesel and so far after two tanks it certainly seems to be smoother. Not sure on the extra mpg yet, may reset the computer and see.
Just interested in other peoples thoughts really.

I can hear the keyboards of the mappers bashing away on the motoring forums across the country .......

"To get the full benefits a re-map is needed, or your wheels will fall off and the big-ends will pay a visit to the inside of your bumper" Special Offer £650!!!

Do you think Shell dropped a clanger?

There it was saying their VPower fuel was the dogs danglies and it would give you better MPG compared to their normal unleaded.

Erm well, how come their 95Ron is now called fuel save? How perplexing. Does it save more fuel than Vpower, but give you less power? Or does Vpower save you even more fuel and give you more power?

Load of marketing ball-***** if you ask me. Until they start declaring the calorific values and how much oxygenates their fuel contains, there is no hard facts.

I'll stick to Tesco

I filled the ZS180 up with it last wed as a test, actually i only called in as it was right next to the crazy golf course i was going to with the missus

52.09 litres in the tank @ £58.81

I will usually get around 25mpg going to and from work, short blasts up the dual carriageway.

I usually use a local Texaco garage on the way home from work, and fill up with super unleaded, last receipt from them....
52.86 litres @ £64.44

Nothing like a pricey re-map to make you want to believe anything!

£1.22 at litre!!???

I never pay more than £1.14 (usually £1.12 at Tesco and Shell - the latter I don't use anymore because they are on the fiddle with the bonus points )

Edit, sorry just realised you've been filling with 98Ron and have switched to 95Ron
