So how on earth does it work from a website unlocking your phone? The one use I have for this is getting all my app data and game saves off my 3g and copy them over.

not sure it's by someone called comex, the iphone itself does the jb instead of the computer id imagine

I am going to check the dev team blog and see what their thoughts are on this before trying it. Sounds like you load something in safari on the phone and this it will be using an exploit in mobile safari. I expect apple will patch that fairly quickly

Ok seems like it is endorsed by the dev team which is a good thing as they would not lend creedence to somethign that would do nasty things to your device

I'm new to all this type of stuff, but what is the benefit of jailbreaking your device? What does it allow you to do that you can't before the jailbreak?

Anyone got time to give me some Pro's and con's?

School boy error wondering why it didn't work... when I was connected to my work WiFi which filters my traffic.

Works on 3G!

Another question, can you un-jailbreak it from this method? If so how? As above, I only want to jailbreak it to move save data across devices using diskaid and then put it back to standard again.

The advice is to take a back up in iTunes, and restore to factory if needed, then recover using the backup.

no as you can just restore back to original firmware so doesn't avoid warranty as such.but if you take it to apple jailbroken then yes it does

i like to use it for things that you can't do on a normal iphone. example: five icon dock, turn my phone into a router.

Anyone know of an alternative to diskaid? Just got the latest as a trial and it can't do what it used to and now says you also need fileapp pro. Not buying 2 apps when diskaid used to give full access to the root of the storage.
