Gutted. Same thing happened to me years ago with an XJ650 cam cover and other bits. Console yourself with the knowledge that if it had stayed sunny, you would have found a fly or two stuck to 'em.....

Had exactly the same happen recently on a touch up job on a car wing I was doing.. every time I layed paint on it, a shower.. got everything out the way.. soon as I was indoors, sun out again..
In the end i kinda gave up.. got a complete new wing to play/spray up to fit on anyways, so no biggie

Sometimes the rain marks will polish out with Tee Cut or brasso.

You sure live up to your stereotype don't you? Was it clear blue sky and sun one minute and rain the next? Thought not, use a bit of gumption next time.

I remember Gumption. Don't think it would do the job though!
