Me and a few mates did the Coast to Coast cycling route (St Bees to Sunderland) over the Easter weekend. Its a mix of very quiet country lanes, dissued railways, etc.

For anyone that is interested in doing the route, further details can be found here:-

http://www.c2c-guide.co.uk/

The route is very well signposted but its worth investing in the official map (£6 ish) as well.

Cheers,

Ian.

I did Monaco to Barcelona when I left uni stopping at youth hostels, the sun shon all 3 weeks and ll I need was my wallet, a bike and some shorts!

Roads are awesome, scenery fantastic etc etc

Would love to do it in a car, however I fear I wouldnt appreciated it so much

Highly recomended
