Thumbs up Got the email from Apple

My reserved Iphone 4 is available for collection.

Probably won't have time to run through the whole in store transfer process (and wont have a micro sim at that point as I need to collect from an o2 store once i get the phone), so to is it just a case of syncing with itunes to activate and transfer contacts, etc?

I really should know this!

You might need to transfer your number over to the micro sim which taken 8 hours for me.

O2 might be able to do it for you there.

And yes simple case of backing up then restoring to the iPhone 4 . Enjoy

Cheers

Now have sitting in front of me:

1 iPhone 4
1 micro sim from o2 store (just need to activate it online at o2.co.uk)
1 silicone case

All on existing and more favourable tariff than the new ones

Sorry Jack

Sim will be activated very soon
Spend this time downloading some useful apps to itunes

Already have plenty apps - although IMovie looks

Not at home 'till Friday morning (where mac with all apps & music resides) so may wait till then to activate, although its tempting just to plug it into this laptop and get the ball rolling now

LOL

Purchased in the full awareness of the "problem"

Which won't be a "problem" as mine will have a cover anyway.

And it it does become a "problem", i'll return it to the apple store for a full refund, or replacement if they redesign it.

No Jamie,

I purchased it knowing that there would be no problem due to circumstances.

1) the cover
2) being right handed
3) holding the phone in my right hand when making calls.

hence my use of the ""

Why do you need the cover then if you are right handed? In case you are using your right hand for something else whilst surfing the 'web'?

I had two non working previous generation iphones, got fed up and went over to Crackberry. I'm sure it was just bad luck, but I had problems with a faulty ipod as well.

I'm not an apple hater, I have a lovely Macbook, so don't take anything I say too seriously

Going great, 252.73, I bought at around 80.00 so they have a long way to go before I stop grinning. I always said they were a $300 stock and I have no doubt they'll get there at which point I'll consider selling.
