Default a conflict of interest

Hello scoobynet clever folks

if you believed there to be a conflict of interest in a business that you worked for and relied upon for work and a wage on a regular basis. who would you contact for them to investigate this? lets presume the internal management at this place of employment were turning a blind eye to this and refused to look at it any further, is there a body or group in the uk who would investigate this? is it legal and is it acceptable in the uk now?

thanks in advance

its to do with a manager that dishes out work, but they are weighting the worked dished out in favour of their family... it has no direct effect on profits to the company.

...but potentially, it does. It's loading the dice in favour of family rather than the best person for the job. Over time, others will notice this situation and the good ones will either leave or go work somewhere else in the company. What's the point of working your nuts off if someone else is always getting bigger pats on the back for doing the most tasty pieces of work?

^^^ The above needs rewording but it's what the owners/directors or senior managers need to hear.

we rely on the work being evenly handed out (we are paid per job), yet the person in charge of the work distribution (they work for a massive uk company) weights the work handed out in favour of their family members, hence the conflict of interest. im reluctant to say who it is and what the work is as I don't want this to get back to them.

I and others have contacted this persons managers and it has fallen on deaf ears. hence I was wondering if there was any governing bodies in the uk to cover something like this.

You have to keep on going to the next manager upwards until you get a result.

It'll probably right itself eventually. Any company where favouritism of any kind comes into play is not working to its best commercial potential. What happens is the good people leave and the company will suffer.

My employer is an incestuous old boys club at board level. If you are not a lawyer you'll never get into it, which is ridiculous as a board needs a balanced perspective from all sides of the business. The funniest thing is we've a few managers who just don't get this and waste their lives kissing a*se to no avail. The decent ones will just move on and the business suffers.

This happened at our work place, the bloke dishing the jobs gave or family members and friends the local runs and highest paying work.

The M.D got wind of it and found out the person dishing the jobs out was also having a affair with one of the girls in the office ,it was becoming a problem with the lads as she then had a chip on her shoulder , he was taking her side all the time.

Safe to say when reduncies came around they was the first.

its called perks, part of being a manager and it's very hard to disprove.
There's no point in getting to the top if you can't sort the brothers out

I don't like conflicts. Actually I'm not that keen on any breakfast cereal.
