Argentina versus Germany
This German team looks very, very, very good.
So far they have humiliated Argentina. I wonder if they can keep it up?

There camera has just shown Charlize Theron in the VIP seats.
Lawrenson just said - I guess that's someone's wife then, on of the WAGs.
What a man of the world he is!

I hope so, but I am afraid they can't wipe away the shame of '74 against this German team.

So.............that's the cheating Brazilians and the bigger cheat Argies, done by EUROPEAN opposition in two games.
And when are we going to STOP hearing the myth of South American football from pundits?

...be serious for a moment - no-one thought that a player with seven caps would tear apart one of the tournaments best teams!

Just been looking at the odds, and Germany, Holland and Spain all have to same odds to win the World Cup now at 2/1!
I'm surprised at that really - I'd put Germany as favs, followed by Spain then Holland.
If Spain can get firing on all cylinders then they have the potential to win it, but my money would be on Germany tbh..

Yes, they have beaten us and done it soundly a few times, but iirc, never cheated.

I have favoured Germany from the outset - they play a simple game, pass the ball then move into open space.
One step closer to lifting my winnings - only wishing now I had placed more on them!!!!

Supporting a European team, is that not stretching the "back you're neighbours" bollocks a little too far.
Besides, i honestly believe this world cup has an underdog winner in it, and for that reason i still think the World Cup trophy is heading to south America.
