NO NO NO NO

Turn your data roaming off unless you want a huge bill

Talk to O2 they can sell you a roaming bundle which reduces cost

Absolutely not and it is obscenely expensive (£3/mb I think). Switch Data roaming off, keep wi-fi on and just use that when you can.

As above, make sure you change data roaming option to off, otherwise most apps you open will start eating up the £3/mb charges.

Actually from the 1st July there is now a europe-wide (I think) limit of about €50 per month. Legally they have to opt you in to this service automatically. You will get a text message when you reach 50% and 100% asking if you want to opt out.

This O2 link explains it. It's in the business section but I'm sure the same applies to personal contracts.

So those numpties that go abroad, download half the internet thinking it's free then get back to find a £20,000 bill are now safe. The most they will be allowed to download is between 15-50Mb.
