Default Whats wrong with the refs?

Why does the world have to put up with whats going on?

We have the ref asking Luis Fabiano if he handles the *****, "No, ok you've scored then"

USA disallowed a goal that should've stood,

Yellow cards overload in the 1st half of Brazil v Portugal, then not much 2nd half.

Everytime theres a 50/50 ball in the penalty area all the defender needs to do is fall over and they get a free kick as if the ref is playing it safe, just in case.

Kaka sent off for someone running in to him, while the refs looking the other way

A certain legitimate England goal given...no wait, not given!!!

The offside goal given just now for Argentina.

I could go on.

They are the modern equivalents of religion/belief systems:

Despite evidence and millions of witnesses to the contrary - their word is accepted as law and there is no going back!

Their capabilities at their job are only slightly better than those of the England team!

Cool

They make mistakes, like everyone else, but their mistakes are very visible. They are on a hiding to nothing, they try to do the best they can.

Only video technology can make it better. Hopefully, they would use it to stamp on the disgraceful cheating that most modern footballers do too. Immediate yellow card for diving or feigning injury (like the Kaka incident).

Footballers=lowlife cheating overpaid chav scum (mostly).

Very sad for such a great gane.

I think everyone else in the stadium knew that was a goal though.

I agree fully with what you say about the cheating and the feigning of injury. It really does spoil a game that I am beginning to enjoy watching now.

They should be heavily penalised for diving.

video refs for def, or maybe a goal line ref at each end.

i like to watch baseball from time to time and the refs extremly rarley make a mistake. I've even seen them make a call the tv replay angles show it to be a bad call, but then a single camera angle shows they are correct. Now that is refing, thats what football needs.

Apart from one or two big mistakes, I think on balance the refereeing has been pretty good this World Cup, most of the close call decisions have been correct - and I particularly liked the ref who yellow carded a player when said player tried to get someone else yellow carded.

As already said, the refs could do with being harsher on the divers and timewasters, but a better post-game review system would fix that overnight.

Is this really about Refs making mistakes or yet another England lost so we must find an answer thread?
