Default Anyone use a lathe?

I have a small one, and Emco Compact 5. I've recently bought a parting-off tool off e-bay, only to find the sale cancelled and the money returned as the seller says he has had problems with the item.

Fair enough, but where do I buy a decent parting-off tool with seperate blade?

Aye, my training centre uses Cromwell parts Jeff. Usually very good quality and not too expensive.

I had a nasty habit of snapping these when I was at college. Always got a bollocking from the bloke in the stores.
