What are the options for electoral reform?
Showing my ignorance here, but thought I would put it out there.
We all know that the current system is seriously flawed, and that the parties in power over many years have ignored it. But now its on the adjenda, so I just wondered what the options were, and was interested on other peoples opinions on the matter.
From some of the figures knocking about, Labour won a majority with 22% of the vote last time around. And looking at the figures of the polls on Sky News the other day it got even more confusing.
It was hard to get my head around the following.
Party...........% of vote.......Seats
Labour........29...................281
Tories..........34..................257
LD...............26...................79
Other..........11...................33
Like I say, I dont claim to be an expert, but even I know something is seriously unbalanced.
