I like Nick Clegg, I also think Vince Cable would be a great Chancellor.

No chance of getting in, so I wouldn't vote for them.

Plus;

A vote for the Lib Dims is a vote wasted on no-hopers

A vote for the Tories is a vote to end NL's reign of error (and replace it with their own version?)

Agreed, shame the rest of the Lib Dims are a bunch of limp-wristed wet flannels really!

Might as well vote Conservative where I live as it's a stronghold for them anyway. If it was a marginal Labour seat then I might consider the Lib Dems

And therein lies the LD's problem. People want to vote for who they think will win, not what they want.

This country is finished.

Unless I hear something to give me a bit of positive thinking in the way forward for this Country, I am still considering spoiling my vote with a nasty comment added.
I have no faith in any of them. As for the Lib Dems, why not. Could they be any worse than the shower of self serving thieves we have now

May I ask why people Vince Cable would be a good chancellor? Are people really silly enough to think he was the only person to warn on the level of personal and public debt?

What do people think of his actual policies going forward? How about his proposed 'mansion tax' on properties worth over £1million? This was laughed at by all think tanks and policy forums as being one of the most unworkable and expensive (to collect) taxes ever proposed.
When he realised how stupid it was (and it would lose them marginals like Richmond) he suddenly raised it to houses worth over £2million! Not much difference between £1million and £2million is there??
So this is the guy people hold up as some sort of financial guru? He announces a £1million house tax at the Lib Dem conference and then within a week changes his mind and makes it £2million. Must be a genius!

Cable or Osborne?

Not a tough choice is it. Rumour has it this is Osbourne's last chance at a big job.

Explain his complete **** up of the 'mansion tax' and Osbourne's NI tax proposal getting massive support from industry then.

What else does Vince Cable stand for?

Agreed. Most BNP members aren't even qualified enough to do those jobs, then they'll complain when somebody else does them.

They all have, believe me. This lot have ballsed up this Country so much, we will be paying for years. Yet they still have their noses well and truly in the trough, at our cost.
Why should we be on the bones of our ar$es to bail them out.
I really have no faith in any of them or this Country any more.

well I would explain his **** up in the same way I would explain NL **** up's and Tory flip flopping on economic policy

on economic matters most politicians tell us want we want to hear

and re the massive support for the Tory NI tax proposal is a simple example of turkeys not voting for xmass

but one thing is surely unarguable -- Vince Cable has more experience in real world economic matters than Osborne, who in pure economic terms (never worked in industry) has delivered the square root of fvck all to the UK economy

To be honest, I'm not voting Tory because they want to privatise schools - the failing ones too. That I can't agree with on any level because it won't work. The want to privatise everything which tends not to work yet keep our taxes the same.

Lib Dems - well I have to say I'm not going to dissmiss them out of hand - they made a huge mistake hanging Charles Kennedy. He did so much for the party and they screwed him over his drinking. They pretty much destroyed themselves. A Lib Dem vote would be to cause a hung parliament and really nothing else.

Labour - I don't really know what to say. Its not really their fault the world economy imploded and it was the tories that started the UK down its addiction to the financial industry and Labour just milked it for all its worth.

You find me a party that will commit to ween the UK off its addiction to finance and back to good old fashioned manufacturing then I will vote for that party.

I also think this pishing about with NI is a complete waste of time and just a government sanctioned Ponzi Scheme. Rather than raise income tax to attempt to lower the deficit and risk a public backlash they raise NI on the basis that most people don't even understand it. Find me a party that will abolish NI altogether and increase income tax to a level that will encompass the loss of NI and help reduce the deficit. Dropping NI in favour of higher IT means you lose NICO altogether which would be a huge saving of administration costs.

i'm not sure what happened to ukip, i understand there main point was they were hugely against europe but i'm not sure why they don't just come out and say what the country wants to hear, they've got nothing to lose and could be used as a minor vote as well.

Well if you vote for them this time and everyone who thinks like you votes for them too, they still might not win but their % of votes would be higher and they will gain more credibility, so although this time it might not make a difference to the Gordon/Cameron race, next time it will.
