First couple always lay down the characters and you get to see them change. I'll be watching it and enjoyed the first 2 tonight although I expect there's a lot better to come.

I loved the first beach landing, such a contrast to the Normandy landings!

Wasn't sure what I'd make of it, but was pleasantly suprised. If only we could stump up the cash in the UK to make something comparable about our own role. But until that day I guess we'll have to keep watching series about the 'Merikans!

We might see some Subarus in it

Japan's first aircraft manufacturer, it was founded in 1917 by Chikuhei Nakajima and took the name Nakajima Aircraft Company in 1931. After Japan's defeat, the company was reborn as Fuji Heavy Industries makers Subaru automobiles.

Thumbs up

The battle scenes where breathtaking to say the least. I like the aproach, not going the BoB route with seeing all the training (don't get me wrong BoB was superb and sets the standard just saying it is not the same). Will take a couple of episodes to establish the leads and get familiar with them in the same way as BoB i think.

First impressions where very good and setting up for a blinder of a mini series, not just a BoB copy set elsewhere.

9.5 ot of 10 so far

First two episodes were great, the third was ok and then I watched the forth episode last night and apart from the first 10 minutes or so, the rest was very boring (the place he gets sent to) I am hoping that was just a filler ep and it will be back to the action like at the beginning.

Got to be about the best demonstration of my system I have heard, I was sat there grinning

I really enjoyed it even though, as people have said, the two parter was a bit of a scene setter and character builder.

Definitely looking forward to the rest of the mini-series.
