Default ebay...what a load of b@llocks...

just put my kenwood media set-up for sale on ebay(item number:270556158634).check a couple of hours later to find its been bought using buy it now...great news me thinks.until i check the buyer is new today to ebay, zero feedback and from the ukraine.then get message asking for my bank and personal details to transfer funds to my bank.contacted ebay to say this is a scam only to be told that they are a genuine buyer....5 minutes later get message from ebay stating buyer no longer ebay member and refuding my costs.
is it me or is ebay crap now????

I thought there were settings you could play with when you listed an item to control who was allowed to bid. Having said that, I listed a few things at the weekend and thought I had excluded zero feedback bidders, but one of the items has had bids from someone with zero feedback who only joined on 4 March - so ebay either have problems with this function or I mis-understood the user interface for these settings. I'm not too fussed as this item is listed for collection only (it's an old home theatre system I was only expecting to get a tenner for - currently at £31 though).

You can block low feedback bidders and also restrict to UK / European / etc. bidders only.
