Gutted for you!
I bet you were all geared up for it too??!!
How long do you have to keep it rested for?
Maybe you could keep on top with some upper body workout type thing?
Not sure what though

Not good for you I did my knee in leapfrogging up a hill in trade training, screwed me up for ages (total dislocation of the right patella, painful), though you have the alternative above but its not as good for keeping the stamina up
You could ask your physio if you can do swimming sooner rather than later to get back up to fitness? it may help in the healing process

Swimming would be great if/when you would be allowed to do it as it won't put as much strain on your foot as what other excercise would, yet it will still keep your fitness levels up.

Sorry to hear about that disappointment, hope it sorts out soon.
We used to drive the Ghurka's around the world quite a bit. They were as nice as pie, and when we had their families on board, the children were unbelievably polite and well behaved.
I bet you are enjoying your tour with them, curries and all!
