We had a manager that used to use Gordons way of management.

At meetings he would always come out with some statement or some figures that took the heat off him or make him look good. Of course no one in the meeting had enough data to take him to task. But once out other managers would have us running around checking his data ot information. Invariably we would prove him wrong, but it was all too late as the damage had been done in the senior managers meeting.

Seems to be a common ruse used by Mr Brown

It is a major embarrassment and gives the lie to what he said then, and as far as the electorate is concerned, to most other claims he has made.

Won't be easy to live that one down.
