Ha! Someone on my iPad thread stated that sales would be low, I'd say those are significant figures. I'm waiting for the 3G version, if we get the same deal as the US then you can add the data plan on a month by month basis, win all round.

Lol. Does anyone know how much the apple logo is worth? I honestly believe that you could put it on **** and sell it. I'm not saying the iPad is **** btw, just making a point

That's just my point. The foolish lot of people who are literally attracted to the apple logo. if you need an apple product and can justify paying the extra for it, like you with your iPhone and me with my Mac for Logic Studio then they're great. But i do think the iPad is a bit pointless in my eyes. The 3G one you have mentioned earlier has some point, but again i would have no real need for it.

To me it's a simple choice, sell my Macbook and upgrade it, cost £500 or keep the Macbook as there's nothing wrong with it and get an iPad. I'll let you know how much use my Laptop gets once I have the iPad. Configuring Cisco routers may be tricky on the iPad, maybe not.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with the Laptop at all, in fact it's still highly desirable and more than capable. But it's only good at being a laptop, I want to try something new.

With the number of pre-sales, I do wonder what in-store stocks will be like. There have been rumblings that supply will be limited, and thus some people in the camp-out lines could be disappointed.
