Default Childrens Headphone recommendations

My 5 year old daughter has shown an interest in the iPod, apart from the fact the in-ear headphones don't really fit her.

So i'm after some thoughts/recommendations of some headphones, like those can ones, or whatever they're called.

Thanks.

I wouldnt suggest or encourage a 5 year old to use inear headphones at such an early age. Big old headphones that cost a tenner will be more than enough and although I would discourage listening to mp3 players at her age with her sensitive hearing , be sure that you have a limit on the ipod

Could certainly be damaging at her age if she can turn the volume up too loud.

Ipods have a volume limit function, it might even be passworded (my ipod is in the car, cant check)

There are loads of headphones for kids, check this link : Amazon.co.uk: childrens headphones

I was thinking something like these:
Skullcandy Lowrider Pink & White | SALE Now On!

Thanks for the pointers about the volume etc, i will certainly look into that. She only played with the ipod for 10 mins, but loved dancing around. So i thought it would be a nice present for easter, as oppose to chocolate.

I have a classic, it has a p/w controledl master volume function - however, surely 5 is just too young to be responsible for technology such as an mp3 player?

It's a very early iPod Mini, 6GB. Can't seem to find a password control on it. Admittedly i know nothing about iPods and was given it.

If anyone knows about the volume, would be good to know.

I hear you Paul. I'm not a tech freak and she has very basic stuff and kids toys. She does dancing classes weekly and loves music and dancing. I just thought it would be something nice. As when she tried it on this week for the first time, she didn't stop dancing. Doesn't matter if it gets broken or lost, but obviously her hearing is imperative.

Music in the flat is not really an option, it's tiny, no CD player. No bedroom and she's hardly with me

Gaz, if you want quality sound over girlie pink looks then these are superb, i use them myself.

Play.com (UK) : Sennheiser PX 100 Mini-Headphones Black : Electronics - Free Delivery

They do them in white as well

I would have thought a child sized head band and tough construction were ahead of sound quality for a 5 year old

If you get something like Skull candy, be wary of the drivers size and volume range. They make some really good high end DJ headphones and they go rather bloody loud with 40-50mm drivers

Don't wanna deafen the poor little bugger to early, but if she is a budding turntablist, get her in early
