Default What cinema movie for 10 yr olds ?

I'm taking my son and his mates to the cinema on Sunday but we are unsure of what to watch.

Would Avatar be suitable for their age or something like Astro Boy?

Anyone seen both?

My lad is off to see Astro Boy next weekend for a 9th birthday party. I get the feeling that Avatar is more for teenagers and adults

Astroboy is a great film. They are probably at the top end of the age range for it - but I am sure they will enjoy it.

I think they are probably at the very bottom end of the age range for Avatar.

Planet 51 is still doing the rounds so that may be worth considering.

That Chipmunks film is really awful. Astroboy a good choice - my son is going back the second week in a row - with mummy this time!

I'd go with UP too although I don't think its still in the cinema.

My 8 year old daughter wouldn't watch Avatar as its not really her thing. She came with me to watch Transformers 2 and neither of us liked it

I'd go with Astroboy but I would ask them. Avatar has been hyped big time so they may want to watch it. Let them vote on it.

Chipmunks us pure cobblers - my daughter has watched it twice and loves it.

I've taken my daughter (11) to see Avatar - she enjoyed it, albeit a bit long
She's also watched UP and liked it
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs also seems to be a bit of a hit

Today she wants to see Princess and the frog
