unknown cable in house
I was viewing a house last week, its a renovated house. I noticed that in each room there was what I thought a cat5/RJ45 connection - i thought that was pretty cool.
Upon close inspection it wasnt. I cant figure out what ican be...can anyone help.
The face panel looks like a cat5/telephone connection (with the little hatch that slides up), but the actual connection was neither, it was thinner, slightly wider with a bevelled edge on the left (as you face it). Like i the connetion was in most room..
any ideas ? sorry i can post a picture becuase i dont know what to google image search for.
thanks

Have a look here
Was it any of those? My thought is that it might be Firewire, and if you look at that link you can get firewire faceplates, though when looking at the image, think of it being flipped upside down as the picture shows the bevel on the right, rather than the left, but there wouldn't be anything stopping you from fitting the faceplate upside down as it were.
